GIFTS Men’s Shelter Announces New Thrift Store Location Following Successful "Evening of Inspiration" Fundraiser

JANESVILLE, WI – Following a night of community celebration and generosity at the "Evening of Inspiration" held on May 5th at The Loft at Gray Goose, GIFTS Men’s Shelter is thrilled to announce a significant milestone in its mission to serve the Rock County community.
During the event, leadership officially shared that the GIFTS Thrift Store will be moving to a new, larger location on Milton Ave in Janesville. The new site, conveniently located next to the post office in the building formerly occupied by Spirit Halloween, marks a major step forward for the organization’s retail operations and its ability to provide essential resources to the community.
The move is driven by a need for increased space to accommodate growing donations and provide an enhanced shopping experience for patrons. Proceeds from the thrift store directly support the shelter’s programs, providing a vital bridge toward self-sufficiency for the men in the GIFTS program.
“The energy at the 'Evening of Inspiration' was incredible, and being able to share this news with our supporters made it even more special,” said Carissa Cornwell, Community & Church Resources Director. “This new location isn't just about more floor space; it’s about expanding our reach and deepening our impact in Janesville.”
The new Milton Avenue location is projected to open its doors in July 2026.  Volunteers will be needed for a variety of tasks. Individuals or groups interested in volunteering to help are encouraged to reach out.
